Cabarete is a windsurfers´ and kitesurfers´ paradise, situated on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic, about 20 km from Puerto Plata International Airport.
The town, which is located on a 4km long sandy beach, is just the right location for those who crave sun and wind.
Cabarete is known as "The Windsurfers Caribbean Eldorado" because it offers countless water sports options, as well as romantic horseback rides on mile-long beaches, surfboard riding, mountain biking – to mention only some of the attractions. The Beach Palace
The Beach Palace Cabarete is a luxury apartment complex and consists of 18 high standard apartments. It is perfectly located directly on the beach in the very center of Cabarete. Enjoy full privacy and being only steps away from our Club Mistral & Skyriders Center Cabarete.
Amenities and facilities:
The Beach Palace Cabarete is one of the best vacation rentals in Cabarete. It features brand new, spacious, luxury apartments with 3 bedroom/3 bath. All apartments are beach front units and offer stunning ocean views. They are similar in size and layout and can be rented as 1- or 2-bedroom units as well. As the units are privately owned they are uniquely furnished and decorated. Cleaning service is included three times weekly and change of sheets is once a week. Bath- and beachtowels are provided in all apartments. Laundry service is available within the house. Underground parking offers one private parking spot per apartment and there is also a 24 hrs security service.
Apartments:
You can choose between standard and deluxe apartments, depending on furnishings and décor.
Each apartment is privately owned, therefore individually furnished and provides air conditioning and a fan in every room. The apartments on the first floor offer private beach access from their terrace and are ideal for families. The second floor residences have a very large terrace with an awesome view over the entire Cabarete Bay. The luxurious apartments offer flatscreen TV, DVD, stereo systems and wireless internet.
The kitchens have granite counter top and are fully equipped with microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher and large fridge and freezer. The kitchen is attached to the living room and dining area and not completely separated.
You enjoy great sea views form the living room/terrace as well as the master bedrooms.
This bedroom provides a king-size bed and walk-in closet. The smaller bedrooms are equipped with queen-size beds. All bedrooms have a private bathroom. While the master bathroom has a bathtub and separate shower, the other two bathrooms have only showers. If booked as 1- or 2-bedroom unit one or both of the smaller rooms incl. bath will be locked and you will be using the master bedroom only.

The two-story building is surounded by a tropical garden. Beside a swimmingpool the hotel offers a beach-/poolbar, 24 hours security,beachtowles, laundry and daily cleaning service. On request will be babysitting, personal trainer or a massage available. The breakfast is served in the beachbar. All our rooms and suites have a direct view on the ocean and feature massive wooden furniture with all modern amenities.

The Spot in Cabarete
The variety of the spot is truly unique. Flat and choppy water on one hand, and swell and shore break on the other, leave nothing to wish for. Kiters and windsurfers cannot get in each others way, as the kitesurfing zone and the windsurfing spot are separated. Cabarate is the ideal location for those who like diversion, no matter whether you are windsurfer, kitesufer or surfer. The numerous possibilities and the comprehensive excursion program ensures that you will never get bored. Cabarete has so much to offer and is also an interesting destination for families.
Wind and Waves
The wind is modest in the morning and gains strength at midday under the influence of the trade wind. The best wind conditions are in January–March and June–September. The offshore reef is about 600 metres off the beach and the flat water stretching inbetween is all that slalom enthusiasts could wish for. From May–October the wind blows mainly sideshore from the right at 4-5 Beaufort. From November–April it mainly blows cross-offshore from the right and is less constant, but instead wave freaks can ride down waves up to 4 metres high. At this time, the conditions are perfect for intermediate wave riders and wave freaks. Upwind of the center there is a shallow water section where beginners and intermediates feel comfortable and the tuition conditions are excellent. Beginners and intermediates can practice close to the shore while more experienced windsurfers can conquer the waves on the reef. Thanks to the mobile kitesurfing school it is always possible to choose the perfect spot depending upon the wind and wave conditions as well as your individual needs. In this way we can guarantee ultimate fun for kitesurfers of all levels. Surfing is regarded as a great alternative for all windsurfers and kitesurfers, and Cabarete has always been a hot surfing spot. The beginners spot, where the waves break on a sand bank, is only 5 minutes away from the center. The shallow water allows you to easily walk through the waves. Directly in front of the Velero Beach Hotel is a spot suitable for intermediates. On top of that, we offer tuition for all levels.
The Center
The center is situated upwind in the bay of Cabarete, which is a good 2km in width and in January 2009 the center moved into a new location! The new perfect set-up is situated 200 meters further downwind from the old location in the center of Cabarete bay. Now the center is at the 'Plaza Carib Wind' together with Lazer Training Center, EZE Bar & Restaurant and Carib Wind Surfshop.
The center is beneath shady palm trees and offers a cosy chill out area overlooking the ocean. It's only 50 metres from the shore in a wind-protected area, thus allowing windsurfers to start directly from the center. In this part of the bay the shorebreak is less strong making it easier to go in and out of the water. You are perfectly safe, as the spot is protected by a closed end of the bay and one of the Club Mistral team members always keeps a watchful eye on you. In case there is an emergency we use our life boat.
Kids
Cabarete offers safe conditions to teach kids. The sandbank, located just a few meters upwind from our center is ideal. The small reef belt behind the sandbank creates a little lagoon with flat water and no shore break. Especially in the summer months we have ideal conditions for kids.
